Burcham sets meet record in Lexington

-- Cabell Midland freshman runner Jacob Burcham set the 1600-meter run meet
record Saturday at the Tates Creek Commodore Classic track and field meet in
Lexington, Ky.
Burcham's time of 4:26.97 broke the mark of 4:29.43 set in 2006.
He also won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:59.27.
Cabell Midland set another meet record in the 4x800 relay with Ryan Smith, Brian Lawhon, David Jobe and Matthew Edmunds running a time of 8:25.47. The team is ranked No. 1 in West Virginia.
