Cabell Midland's boys took first place and the girls were fourth in the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic 5K races at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. Hurricane was the boys runner-up and Winfield placed 12th among 45 teams. Aaron Withrow from Winfield was the second individual with a time of 16:01.37 while Russell Carroll of Hurricane (16:16.22) and Austin Jordan from Cabell Midland (16:29.16) were fourth and seventh respectively. Cabell Midland also had Coy Smith (16:40.25), Brett Armbruster (16:49.29), Jonathan Hathaway (16:55.04), Jackson Gibson (17:06.59), Stevie Ball (17:21.14) and George McPhail (17:41.80). Hurricane's other runners were Bryer McPherson (16:51.25), Justin Belcher (17:01.36), Wyatt Hanshaw (17:06.62), Alex Hughes (17:17.78), Chase Basham (17:17.93) and John Casey (17:20.46). The Winfield lineup also included Luke Lumadue (16:53.97), Matt Durgin (17:54.82), Jordon Thompson (18:47.77), Drew Wall (20:04.26) and Brandon Stamper (20:55.78). Cabell Midland's girls were paced by Anya Miller in 15th place with a time of 20:05.21. Hurricane, which finished ninth, had the seventh-place runner, Danielle Ray (19:41.50). Also running for the Cabell Midland girls were Gretchen Mills (20:14.80), Jessica Salmons (20:43.33), Alyssa Long (21:14.85), Allison Short (21:24.32), Adria Fox (21:55.95), Lindsey Cummings (22:48.48) and Alania Mills (22:59.18). Other Hurricane girls running were Alexis Imperial (21:04.60), Taylor Johnson (21:49.13), Brittani Greene (21:55.98), Carissa Lawhon (22:25.75). The girls running for Winfield were Isabella Robinson (21:29.73), Erin Strong (27:07.66), Krissy Johns (23:51.56), Shannon Riley (24:27.82) and Madison Stamper (25:44.31).
