Burcham Comes in at 23rd on ESPNRise.com

Jacob Burcham is making some noise on the National level with his recent ranking on the prestigious Dyestat Elite Boys Top 25. These 25 high school boy runners are picked from across the nation. There are 18 seniors, 4 juniors, and 3 sophomores ranked in the top 25. The following was found on ESPNRise.com written by Steve Underwood who is the Senior Editor for Dyestat.com:

"Meanwhile, a growing number of fans of the sport on a national level have become aware of Jacob Burcham*, especially since last spring when the Midland Cabell (Ona, W. Va.) soph (then a freshman) started attracting attention with his epic triples and, eventually, a 4:15.10 mile in the frosh race at NBN that scared the national class record.  Fans learned that Burcham had also excelled the previous fall in WV while combining football and limited XC.  Now that he’s decided to put his eggs in the XC, he’s just been getting better and better, with the latest effort last weekend – a 15:05 5k behind Mason (Mason, Ohio) senior Zach Wills at the Midwest Meet of Champions – elevating him into the top 25 for the first time."
