While the Varsity runners of Midland were banging elbows with the best in the country at the Great American Cross Country Festival in Cary, NC, Midland's reserve varsity runners were back home competing in the Path to Curve 5K on the streets of Huntington. The race attracted nearly 700 runners despite the rainy, cold weather conditions.
Austin Jarrell led the way with a PR of 17:54, which was good enough for 3rd place overall. Close behind was Brandon Atkinson setting a PR of 17:58 and 4th place overall. On the girls side, Shelby Nelson would set a PR of 22:24 followed by teammate, Molly Darling, in 22:30. Most of Midland runners set new 5K PR's and had a great showing for the Knight's XC Program.
